South Central was a ghost town on the Fourth of July. Freaky. I don’t think I saw one person on the cul-de-sac until late afternoon. Is there some sort of Fourth of July activity in the Village Center we don’t know about yet? Are they all at their summer homes? Are they all watching Revolutionary Documentaries on The History Channel?
In any case, we had a very relaxing day enjoying the fine weather and company of another couple and their 2-year-old son. Brats, burgers and corn covered the grill and coleslaw, potato salad and watermelon rounded out the meal. A down home Fourth of July indeed.
Although, I must admit, I did not see one firework. Kind of sad, but I’ve seen my share.
