Update/Comcast Troubles
You probably didn’t notice – but I haven’t posted anything in a while. However, I have big news. You can now follow SouthCentral Wilmette on twitter @sc_wilmette. Still not sure what I will tweet about, but my first few tweets were aimed at getting Comcast’s attention. A few big branches fell on their line and it is still down in my back yard. ComEd and an electrician had my electricity up and running in about 2 hours, but my cable line still lies there, even though they said they were going to show up between 8AM and 8PM on Saturday. We’ll see. I still have service, but the line is just sitting there in the back yard, along with some big branches from a neighbor’s tree.
In other news, we are off to a great summer. One of my goals is not to buy one piece of watering equipment this summer. No hose, no sprinkler, no attachments, no nothing. Over the past three summers of living here, I over bought, bought the wrong things and haven’t used others. But through it all, I think I have all I need to maintain my humble piece of SouthCentral land. I did buy grass seed, however, but the type that doesn’t really need much water.

Update – Comcast finally showed up and I was ultimately satisfied. Ended up getting the triple play for faster Internet access, too.
